Under the guidance and mentorship of 48 Foundation staff, students learn essential skill sets to succeed in business, including financial management, customer relations, and marketing tactics. However, the ultimate decisions and actions are driven by the students themselves. They are responsible for hiring team members, pursuing continued education opportunities, managing payroll and collections, and making strategic decisions to grow their businesses.

We believe that parental involvement plays a crucial role in the success of our students. That's why we encourage parents to actively participate in their child's entrepreneurial journey by rotating time with their child's team as supervised adults during community service activities. This not only strengthens the bond between parent and child but also provides valuable support and guidance as students navigate the challenges and opportunities of entrepreneurship.

For example, the maximum price to cut, trim, and sweep your yard is $20, allowing teams to upsell additional services while still making a meaningful difference in the community.
